چکیده
We study the temperature dependence of energy diffusion in two chaotic gapped quantum spin chains, a tilted-field Ising model and an XZ model, using open-system approach. introduce imbalance by coupling chain to thermal baths at its boundary nonequilibrium steady states resulting Lindblad dynamics matrix product operator ansatz for density matrix. define effective local profile comparing reduced matrices state with those uniform state. then measure current variety driving temperatures extract constant. For we are able well below gap find regime dilute excitations where rare three-body collisions control diffusion. A kinetic correctly predicts observed exponential increase constant low temperatures. only access intermediate high relative gap, show that data described expansion around infinite limit. also discuss limitations particular scheme suggest lower can be accessed larger baths.

Coexistence of energy diffusion and local thermalization in nonequilibrium XXZ spin chains with integrability breaking.
In this work we analyze the simultaneous emergence of diffusive energy transport and local thermalization in a nonequilibrium one-dimensional quantum system, as a result of integrability breaking. Specifically, we discuss the local properties of the steady state induced by thermal boundary driving in a XXZ spin chain with staggered magnetic field. By means of efficient large-scale matrix produc...
متن کاملLow-temperature spin diffusion in a spin-polarized Fermi gas.
We present a finite temperature calculation of the transverse spin-diffusion coefficient, D⊥, in a dilute degenerate Fermi gas in the presence of a small external magnetic field, H. While the longitudinal diffusion coefficient displays the conventional low-temperature Fermi-liquid behavior, D‖ ∝ T−2, the corresponding results for D⊥ show three separate regimes: (a) D⊥ ∼ H−2 for T ≪ H; (b) D⊥ ∼ ...
متن کاملEffect of Temperature on Electrical Parameters of Phosphorous Spin–on Diffusion of Polysilicon Solar Cells
Effects of temperature on electrical parameters of polysilicon solar cells, fabricated using the phosphorous spin-on diffusion technique, have been studied. The current density–voltagecharacteristics of polycrystalline silicon solar cells were measured in dark at different temperaturelevels. For this purpose, a diode equivalent model was used to obtain saturation current densi...
متن کاملChaotic temperature dependence in a model of spin glasses
We address the problem of chaotic temperature dependence in disordered glassy systems at equilibrium by following states of a random-energy random-entropy model in temperature; of particular interest are the crossings of the free-energies of these states. We find that this model exhibits strong, weak or no temperature chaos depending on the value of an exponent. This allows us to write a genera...
متن کاملAnomalous diffusion in disordered media and random quantum spin chains
Using exact expressions for the persistence probability and for the leading eigenvalue of the Fokker-Planck operator of a random walk in a random environment, we establish a fundamental relation between the statistical properties of anomalous diffusion and the critical and off-critical behavior of random quantum spin chains. Many exact results are obtained from this correspondence, including th...
